It is truly a one of a kind honeymoon suite and a "standing work of art." Created as a wonderfully refreshing retreat for guests seeking an "off the beaten path" adventure with lots of privacy. It's located high on the hillside above Waiohinu Village on the south side of The Big Island of Hawaii.
Check out the view from the living room bay window. In the winter, watch for the breach of
the humpback whales. It's the favorite seat in the house!
Guests have the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen with gas appliances. There's
also an outdoor propane grill.
The bedroom has a antique queen bedroom suite with a fern & palm garden lanai. But the favorite room, especially for the ladies, is the luxurious bathroom & 2-person hot tub with that same glorious view.
Rates: Checks or money orders are accepted; no credit cards or smoking, please. Hobbit House is off the beaten path of Highway 11, one half mile up a jeep trail and does require the rental of a 4x4 vehicle. They can be rented from the various agencies at Hilo and Kona airports.
