Sleepy Hollow is a custom built estate home located on three lush tropical acres approximately ten minutes from the quaint town of Kailua-Kona. The home is approximately 5,400 sf home with over 2000 sf of covered lanais surrounded by large Ohia, Avocado, Fern, and Apple Banana Trees. Although the home is large and spacious (5,400+ sq. Ft.), the personalized touches and original artwork from the Islands make you feel cozy and welcome. Sleepy Hollow is a masterpiece of craftsmanship featuring beautiful rare Koa wood and ceramic tile throughout. Sliding glass doors open onto wraparound lanais where you can drink in the sounds of the many birds and the fragrance of the tropical forest along with your morning cup of Kona coffee.

From the refreshingly cool elevation, the spectacular breathtaking ocean view makes Sleepy Hollow a special place to enjoy Hawaiian sunsets. Because the home is situated on three acres, the privacy and peacefulness of your experience is ensured. Mike and Cindy welcome their guests with warm Island aloha spirit and hospitality, which comes naturally, as Mike's family has lived in Hawaii for four generations, and Cindy, who is your 100% transplanted "Southern Belle."

A generous hearty breakfast fit for royalty is served each morning at Sleepy Hollow in the formal dining room. Guests applaud this special time as they compare notes of their island adventures, and visit with Mike and Cindy, who are always available to help them plan their daily activities. Breakfast at Sleepy Hollow is a wonderful way to start each day! As Mike says, "If you go away hungry, it's your own fault!"

The Island of Hawaii and its beauty offers many activities for visitors to the island - Golf, Snorkeling, Spectacular Water Falls, Volcano National Park, Birdwatching, Scuba Diving, Hiking, and beautiful beaches to name a few. Cindy would be happy to assist you with any information, recommendations, or directions you may need while on the island.

In addition, the Kona Coast of Hawaii is known as the Marlin Fishing Capital of the World.

Sportfishing is one of their loves and Mike's charter fishing boat Legend 2" is ready and waiting in Honokohau Harbor just a short ten minute drive from Sleepy Hollow. Legend 2 is a 1999 35' Cabo Express fully equipped with gold Penn International Rod &Reels (#20 - #130) for Light tackle, Bottom fishing, Heavy tackle, and overnight trips. Captain Mike will be happy to arrange whatever fishing adventure you prefer.

As Sleepy Hollow is located in lower Kaloko Mauka among a majestic protected forest where pheasants, turkeys, and birds of the area live, guests enjoy watching Cindy and Mike feed the wild turkeys, the doves bathing in the pineapple and dolphin bird baths, flocks of songbirds singing in the mist as they fall like leaves from the towering ohia trees. Even an occasional wild pig or two may also be seen in the guava and banana trees below the house.

It is hard to believe that the airport, fishing harbor, beach, restaurants, and Kailua-Kona are only a short ten-minute drive away!
