"Our last morning here at your wonderful tree house - we're sitting here at our
breakfast table trying to soak up all
this beauty and tranquility to take back with us! It will be a treasured memory in the
hustle-bustle of city life...Milton
and Randee....Dallas-Fort Worth Area

should be. What a sunrise! Wunderbar

"This is absolute perfection - the view of the cliffs, the brilliant orange blossoms
on the trees, the geckos on the
windows, our trail ride in the valley! A perfect place for a 25th wedding anniversary

The Tree House provides visitors with a private bathroom; kitchenette; king-sized bed;
fibre-glass,
jetted bath-tub overlooking 100 year-old taro patches; tv; phone; rattan reading chairs;
corner
table and chairs with one of best views in Hawaii, or, the world; parking; and, a nice
yard area for
sunbathing. Click here for interior photos.
The Treehouse has a convenient, central location: south to Hilo (one hour);
west to
South Kohala beaches (45 minutes- then 30 minutes south to Kona or north to Kohala); ten
minutes to Honoka'a (very picturesque, false-front buildings, antique stores, restaurants,
market);
and, thirty minutes to Kamuela, center of Parker Ranch land and 'paniolo' country. It is
just a
three minute walk to Waipi'o Art Gallery, a quaint local crafts store offering bookings
for tours to
Waipi'o Valley...a nature- lover's paradise. The HideAway blends total comfort,
tranquility (unless
you can't sleep to the sound of a 'real' stream and waterfalls, or rain on a tin roof),
and views of an
ever-changing, panoramic show put on by Mother Nature at her best...treat yourself to a
dose of
Kukuihaele and the Tree House and you'll never forget it.

Jim
teaches at nearby Honoka'a High School, where he manages two computer labs, a LAN, and
oversees a multimedia history project on Waipi'o Valley using Mac software that he helped
design and
develop. He has three great boys (11-14-18), appreciates local people and lifestyles,
loves
boogie-boarding, volleyball and restoring older Corvettes.
By the way, I clean the TreeHouse myself to keep costs and rent amount down. I do a good
job, but not
an immaculate job...very few of my guests make note of this; however, if you are the
fastidious type and
would be offended by a less than spotless setting, I can either charge more and hire a
professional or you
might want to check out other places where most likely the owners are retired and have
more time for
such things...just wanted to let you know! (Most guests are on the move, appreciate the
great setting and
location, and are too busy looking out the window at the great view to notice things I
might have missed)
